Spaghetti

Serves: 8

One of my family's favorites. This is the one dish I am almost always asked to make!

   SAUCE
   1 pound ground beef
   1 pound sausages
   1 large onion (Diced)
   1 teaspoon garlic (Diced)
   2 teaspoons italian seasoning
   8 ounces fresh, sliced mushrooms
   Pepper
   Salt
2 quarts spaghetti sauce (chunky style)
   Additional optional ingredients as availible

   PASTA
   4 quarts water (boiling)
   2 teaspoons salt
   1-2 tablespoons oil
   1-1/2 pounds spaghetti

In a large pot, bring the water to a rolling boil. Add salt and oil, then add pasta slowly, pushing it into the water with a spoon as it softens. Stir occasionally.

Add ground beef, sausage, and onions to a large frying pan over high heat. While cooking, stir often and add garlic, mushrooms, and salt and peper to taste. This is a good time to scrounge through the fridge and cupboard for optional items. A few tablespoons of Salsa or barbeque sause, a teaspoon of mustard, a dash of wostershire sause or steak sauce, a pinch of oragono, or anything else that looks and smells good may be added while meat is cooking. When meat is browned, drain and return to fryingpan or suacepan and add the spaghetti sauce. Let simmer until pasta is done.

Cook pasta until done to your prefererance. I suggest extracting one peice and dipping in the simmering sauce then eating to test doneness.

When pasta is done, drain it and place in a large bowl. Stir in sauce mixture.
